Autometer Cubby Guage Pod

I saw this on TDR. Thought some of you would find it interesting.

The guages are angled up and to the left. Here is the TDR link.

1/16 of an inch will not matter...it will either be a little snug or slightly loose. Either of which is hidden with the trim rind and it won't move anyways after the clamp is tightened.

commando,

Yes the DiPriocol's work great in that mount, we have sold a lot of them in the white face for the indash, and on dash mount in the 2003+ trucks.

Yea, How about a two gauge insert for those of us with the electronic xfer case.
Already have a SRT-10 Pilar with Di-Pricol tranny temp, need another two gauges. BTW on the other forum, there is a user that installed Di-Pricol gauges in the Autometer Cubby insert.

DAYTRIPPER63,NWjetboater,

Sorry Auto Meter didn't want to make a 2 gauge set up, you know how they are they want to sell more gauges. In fact they claim they could care less about the mount business it's just a sales method to move more gauges etc.

Most of the auto tranny equipped trucks in these parts have the electronic shift xfer case. I think many 3rd gen owners are looking for a way to mount gauges that keeps the stock look. I have a tranny temp gauge in the SRT-10 pillar, and would like to add EGT and Boost. I want to (a)keep my pillar handle, (b)do not want anything on the dash. I would like to see some pics of the column mounts, but they appear to hide too much of the instrument panel. I may attempt to modify the 3-gauge cubby mount to accept two gauges and the electronic shift switch, or move the switch and its panel.
I would think that Autometer would like to sell 2 gauges instead of 0. Just looking at the mount, I would think you could trim the left gauge pod off so that the mount fit over the shift switch?
BTW Thanks for your help Mark.
