There are a few members on here with that setup (dwiggs for one) but IMO they are over priced, you can get more turbo, better service, and more precisely what you want/need from Nathan at Idaho twins

The box sets like ATS and BD are good, but having a custom set built for your needs/goals is another option that is better for some. I am pushing my BDs and could have saved myself alot of cash having custom twins built in the first place. I guess its all in what you want.

Just considering compressor wheels the A2K is 58mm and the A5k is 71mm at the inducer. The stock turbo is 60mm on 04.5 and up trucks and both a S400 and a GT42 are 74mm. The A2K has a much bigger turbine section than the stocker which will make less back pressure for a given boost. The GT42 has a similar size turbine wheel as the A5K but it is higher flowing thus less back pressure for a given boost. The S400 has a considerably bigger turbine wheel (.5" bigger) and will make less back pressure and more power than either the A5K or the GT42 but it does spool a little bit slower. Just a FYI on turbo sizing.

Thanks guys, I was just wondering about them. I just want to get the right set up the first time. I was considering the BD twins but I don't know if they will be big enough for modded injectors and dual cp3's.

The dual S300 combo from BD will never make enough power to warrant dual cp3 unless you want to spray it. The biggest S300 (72mm inducer) available only flows around 90lbs/min. (like a A5K) but I dont even think the BD kit's is that big. About the most you could hope to make on 90lbs/min. is about 675-700hp in twins and realistically without a wastegate on both turbos it's probably closer to 625-650. The back pressure will get too high too fast to make more.

Thats why If need be I say go customs, not of the shelf twins. Again Ive had to learn the hard way. And now Im trying to save 10K for dual cp3s and new twins .

ats twins
I don't have many mods yet, but reading here and elsewhere I've learned ALOT!!! You guys have tried it, liked it or not and talked about it, that helps guys like me learn what might work for my needs.
I want twins, but I don't need 800hp, would be nice tho!! After I get the FASS, FS2500, and the TST/smarty, or C5, it'll be twins.
I talked to Rip at Source the other day and he suggested 62/12 or 64/12 over an S400. I have a DD, and tow my 5'er and want a quick spooling setup. Haven't talked to Nathan yet, but will. Was originally gonna go with a BD or ATS set, not now. Who knows, I may NEED 800hp down the road.

Is there any advantage to a GT42 vs an S400? Around the Dodge sites it seems the S400 is prefered but thats just what it SEEMS like to me.
