ATS propane system ?
Does anyone have experience with the ATS Torque Pro 2000 propane system on a 03 HO CTD? When I purchase a large fifth wheel I am considering this mod if helps the engine live longer and get some performance benefit as it is pricey.

The most common warning to potental users of propane seams to be "to much and you will put head a gasket on the cummins"
Can you afford to do that?
Propane effectively advances the timing which creates much higher pressures in the combution chamber, so propane and a timing box is asking for issues.
I have read alot and have not decided. Since I am satified with the current power, I will not take the risk.

Dogger,
You can run LP with your Cummins. I have run LP with a 99 PSD I used to own and installed the same system on my new 04 Cummins and also run it curently with the Banks Six-Shooter & Speed Loader. As long as it is setup right and you aren't trying to shove too much into the system at one time you are good. I have run my truck on setting #6 with gas on and it flies, I have 20K on my truck and 19.5K are with an LP system. I use the Powershot 2000 system. It limits how much is taken into the motor by regulating flow based on boost. You can ajust the flow and start boost and you are set. I get great mileage, oil lasts longer and have power for days, lots of fun. Don't believe everything you read. It can be done and it is safe, unless you like to smoke near your intake while going down the road at 70 MPH.

Careful boys. Everyone told me to be careful. I was. Lost a headgasket at 65,000 miles on my Dmax. I think the advanced timing is the culprit especially when combined with a box. As soon as i added the Juice, that did it.
