ATS or Industrial Injection compounds

I'm looking for someone that has either the ATS twins (3000 over 5000) or the Industrial Injection twins (ps62 over k31) to give me an experienced opinion as to the setup they have. I've searched but haven't found what I'm looking for. I'll be starting a buildup in the next couple of months working from the tranny on up, with a goal of 550 hp while still maintaining the ability to haul my 5th wheel without running into egt issues. I've narrowed down my choice to these two and want informed opinions on both. Thank you.

Sorry dude, I have nothing on the ATS or II twins. For me top choice for twins is MPI. Nathan can build a set in comparible to size to what you are looking for. His fit and finish is superior and twins is his specialty.
I would go with a 62/65/13ss over an S400..I've ran two sets of BD twins and two sets of MPI!

Have you seen the two covers side by side? Physically they are exactly the same except for the slightly different surge slot in the Bullseye cover. I know several people that have compared them side by side and there is no hp difference between the Bullseye cover and the BW John Deere cover. Calling it a "real race cover" is a bit far fetched when there is no gain.

Thumbs down

I would go with MPI as well. I have seen his kits...they are top of the line.

As for the Borg Warner S400/80 (bullseye )race cover vs the Borg Warner race cover (john deere). My buddy has one on his truck he bought from bullseye. Swapped out the bullseye cover with a john deere cover on the dyno....same day....they made the same power and the John deere cover spooled better in the mid-range if anything. Needless to say the turbo now runs the Borg Wanrner john deere cover. Also you can buy S400's and S300's from diesel shops alot cheaper then bullseye. They sell you box units marked way up.

When I ever decide to do twins Nathan will be hearing from me! I'm thinking my 62/71/13ss over a s480 will be the way i go, maybe downscale to a 62/65.

MPI all the way.

How much hp can the stocker + s400 hold? Wouldn't that hold up to 550hp? I have the same plans but would like to use the stocker for daily driving.

The stocker/S400 will do right around 650hp.

Idaho CTD Think you might wont to take Curt Hasleys about the HP POWER difference on the bulleseye cover. Thay did back to back dyno test with there cover and it was night and day .Your BLIND if you think thay look the same the A>R> may be close but the casting is very unique , if you have seen them The very very nice Radius inlet bell .LOOKS not even close to the semi truck and john dear tractor cover you use.You might wont to do your homework on this one
