BRayls, I assume by this shop you mean Scheid. Ramirezh, Ya my buddy is a genius welder ...only guy around here that does Titanium and the higher grade alloys. I'd still like to know the justification for the high price of the twins setups. You can get a HTB3 for $650 bucks. Guys have built pretty reliable twins for less than $1000. I don't mind paying for things but I set a price in my mind and I have a hard time going over it. Here's my thought on cost.
3piece exhaust manifold $350
little turbo $650
big turbo $1000
intake piping $150.
exhaust piping $250.
oil lines,returns, etc $250
intake and filter $200
external wastegate $350
profit $500
Assuming the fabricator makes a little profit off of the price for each piece plus the overall profit.....I think a great set of compound turbos should sell for $3700. maximum. I just saw a set of BD Twins for $3795 so I know I'm right. If only I could get a set of ATS for this price. ks

BRayls, Cool. PM me with your thoughts on turbos and shop info, If I didn't tow so much a 66 would be in my future....was that a HTT or an II. Kendricks twins are nice but for towing long and hard The stocker at 50psi compressor side for hours on end maybe will lower the miles of usage down. ks
