Yeap, this is what I am gonna do. If I have any issues I will send the 62/71/13ss back to HTT to be changed to a 65 turbine and have them give it a new doo (polished to the hilt). Also, gonna do the injectors with Flux 1.6 or 1.8 and a new AirDog 150. That ought to do it. So it will be an HTT 62/71/13ss over a S400.

$400 bucks for new turbine, shaft, bearings and turbine housing I think. I didn't ask about the polishing so yes it will be cheaper in the long run. Wish I had the polished one to go on top. You shouldn't need it at all with that manual. Really.

I had a 62/12 before this turbo and there is a noticable lag difference. If I stay with a single I have no problems with the 62/71.I like the top end power over the 65 wheel much better but everyone says the secondary in a twin set up is going to spool even slower than when it was ran as a single, don't think I'm gonna like that when I tow.I just got done riding in my friends truck with a 62/13s/65 and it makes me miss the instant spool up.I couldn't talk him into trading lol!

Yeah its noticable. Its not terrible but there is a full 1-2 second difference in getting to 10lbs of boost. Now from 10 to 50 the 71 wheel is quicker. If I didn't tow I wouldn't even be talking about this.I'm not looking for top hp honors on here, just want a fun all around truck. The 71 is fine as a single, just concerned when I go to twins.

i would like to drive more conservative. i wonder what a 64/65/13ss would be like for a DD.

i know what your saying the 71 wheel makes me drive my truck harder cause i know it performs better that way than just cruising around. it really likes high speed interstate driving.
