Man they look sharp, although my experience with these kits is that they are terrible, way less light on the road... Although these say that they are DOT approved... The add does not say what type of bulbs they run, pr if bulbs are included... I would ask the seller some more questions... Also check the feedback rating on thus guy, looks somewhat checkered at best.....

The ones in this ebay listing look like true projector style lenses. I contacted another seller of these and they told me they both took H1 bulbs, not the factory style 900X type.
I did see some company advertising "projector" style lights on ebay and they looked stock.
SolarRam, I don't see any close up pics of your lights to tell which you have, but if they use stock bulbs I bet they are not these.

I guess they are not cause mine do use a 9007 series bulb. Could you post an item number so I could take a look, neither the factory or these lights put out as much as my Ford did and I would upgrade it they worked.
Thanks

those ebay lights you're talking about aren't really any better, they have a bluish-purpleish neon light ring around each headlight. That's why they are called halo. Some of the new BMW's and other cars come with them stock, lots of ricers get them. It's kind of a bling thing. I've had bad experience with ebay lights, they don't seal well, so they get foggy, and get water inside when it rains.

I too am interested in better forward lighting for night time driving. I tried to get more info about the units shown on ebay but came up with nothing.
There is another company called Racing Lab (that just happens to be in the same town I live in) http://store.racinglab.com/headasprojhe.html
So I went and talked with the guy and looked some of the other models of the projector style lights. He didn't have the Ram style headlights in stock. (they come from LA) The overall quality of the lights on his shelf looked good though. The halo ring is something you can chose to hook up or not during your installation.
His price is a bit higher than the ones we're seeing on ebay. (around $425 for the set) He was telling me that his products come from either Japan or Taiwan. The ones on ebay come from China and usually without a warranty. I asked if he would be willing to work on the price if we came in as a group to buy and he said he would.
I'm thinking about asking if I can get a set to evaluate. I'm feeling like most everyone else here in that I'd hate to spend that kind of money for something that is only marginally better than my stock lights. If the difference is 'night and day' (pun intended) then the cost won't be that much of an issue.

What about just some slighly better bulbs? Anyone try any?

I think I'll power the relay kit right off the back of the alternator for the least amount of voltage drop. The lights should be a lot better like that. If not, one day I might upgrade to 99-02 Sport quad headlamps. We'll see.

Yes, those are what I have.
They are not bad, just not any better than stock as far as light output.
They look cool though
