Anyone running a single subwoofer under rear seat ???
Getting alarm, stereo, and speakers tommorow. Currently, they are going to do a custom fiberglass box that will go under the rear seat on passengers side since it is a bigger area. It will be a 10in Punch2 power by an Alpine amp. Anyone have a similar single subwoofer setup ??? I am a little worried about if having just one sub offset to one side will "feel" like it is off centered. I dont think so since it is low frequency but cant stop worrying about regretting this decision over going with 2 subs (one on each side obviously). Also, a little concerned about what they will do with the metal fold out tray, especially since again it will only be on one side and dont want a weird gap or something on the other side.
Thanks in advance for any input ...

My Buddy has a single tube and it sounds fine. I am also considering a sub under the rear seat but I am going with the drivers side. They sell a box on ebay. That way I only lose the smaller side flat floor

I have the JL Audio stealthbox on the pass side, it sounds great. I do tend to notice a little (very little) right side bias, but nothing to get worried about.

Allow me to boast. I just had a 10" JL put under the passenger rear, JL 6 channel amp next to it, Alpine 9857, Focal 165 V1 up front. Even to these old ears I couldn't believe how good it sounds.

I have a OLD pair of solobaric S10's by kicker and also a newer, but still OLD pair of S12's. I just have two seperate boxes that I throw in the back seat when I want to be young again. Most of the time they stay in the shop. I leave my amp wired under the back seat and just jerk the power plug when I'm not using it. I'd love to put one or two under the seat, but just not enough room in my truck. Since Kicker speakers are manufactured here in Stillwater I'm a little partial to them, but I'm sure there are speakers out there that can fit into tighter spaces. I have always built my own enclosures so I can't tell you how the figerglass ones will sound. Good luck. Just buy speakers with the correct ohmage so you can add another one if you aren't happy.

I have a 10 in JL under the passengers back seat, with the amp mounted in the center under the back seat. I had to remove the fold out tray...you can't have it all!! Sounds great I would definatly do it again.

Well during the xmas holidays I went sound system crazy and this is what I went with.
2 new 10" kicker subwoofers under the back seat in a custom box after the tray was removed.
A 1289 pioneer premier 12 cd changer.
Pioneer premier 780MP CD/MP3 player.
Ipod interface.
kicker amp.
Two new MTX thunderdome 6 x 9 for the front.
Two new MTX thunderdome 5 1/4" for the back.
You want to talk about night and day from the old stock setup. This sytem really let me know that music can be heard at new level.
I installed a new donaldson muffler, new bilstein shocks and put rubber pad under my headache rack at the same time you cannot hear another sound than what comes from the stereo. Getting rid of the MBRP drone was the nicest thing.
I can say that none of this was cheap but it was worth every penny.
