Anyone running this muff (Dynomax Race)?
Hmmmmmm. Might this be the answer to those that want to straight pipe but want to cut down on the 'raspyness' (just a hair) of the true straight? I thought about a small glass-pack, but I would always wonder if the packing would clog/paritally clog the system...What do you think about this? I'm thinking it might cut down on (a little) on drone...Not that I care that much. For $36 bucks it might be worth a try.

They may look like glasspacks, but the Race Magnum Bullet mufflers are made just for racing. Compact and lightweight, the Bullets have a 360 degree welded outer shell and a straight-through, wrap-welded, perf-tube design for maximum flow and minimum power loss.

horrible... takes away the sharp edges from the exhaust note, and just leaves all the resonating bass... AND it TOTALLY removes the turbo whistle through the exhaust...
make sure your exhaust tip clears the bed sheetmetal a decent amount and lay down some sound deadener inside the cab... the sound deadener will make a lot more difference than the bullet will I promise you!

So Forest, I assume you ran that muff then? I was thinking that with a 12" case length that it wouldn't do much at all...
Awe what the heck...I'll just order the fixin's for a straight and be done with it! My Magnaflow is just too darn quiet now that I'm used to it. Nothin' like a straight piped 5.9 (even the 3rd gens!)...I wonder what the artsy' crowd here in Santa Fe is going to think?
I'll try and get a sound clip or two done...Doesn't seem to be a single clip out there, and everyone that's on the fence about a straight want's to hear it first.

I've got the Dynamax on mine it brought the noise down to an acceptable level. It still sounds pretty good. When I was hauling trees the straight pipe drone just got to be annoying. My neighbors really like the new muffler!
