Anyone know if you can UNPLUG A EDGE box and still use ATTITUDE?
does any1 know if you can unplug edge juice black box ontop of fuse box and still be able to drive and read attitude and get no codes? Reason is i want to totally Bypass my edge module because of high egts. I dont have any gauges though other than the attitude monitor. Could I still read my attitude monitor for boost and pyro even with the edge box unhooked?

lol lol. thats what i said but everyone keeps telling me that I have to totally take it out to see for sure if its the problem. The thing is if i take my edge out to see if it is whats raising egts then how can i monitor boost and egt with it out? unless i buy $300 worth of seperate gauges?
But even though 0 is stock could I unplug the edge ECU and still drive truck and view attitude or would I have to remove entire harness from injectors etc..?

the reason to do this is to isolate your EGT problem..maybe your edge is not turning off??? all I know is if you put a amsoil filter on and the edge in the same day and now you have high EGTs I would say the edge is your problem not the filter...MANY MANY MANY people are running that air filter with zero EGT problems....fact is modules run HOT period...I could not get out of 3rd gear with my X2 race on the 100hp setting before the EGTs were 1450-1500...with just Smarty I can run through every gear and just barely get 1200* when I stacked the x2 with Smarty it was not a problem..I had great smooth power and the EGTs stayed in check..
modules run hot.........

It won't even start without the Juice plugged up. All of the truck's parameters are pigtailed with the Edge connectors and thus they are "inputs" for the Juice module. The "outputs" come out of the JUice module and plug back up into the truck. Therefore, if you just unplug the Juice module you will have a break in the circuit and nothing will work.
And to answer your original question, no you can't use the Attitude as just gauges without the Juice hooked up. The one on Edge's site is an upgrade for the standard Juice modules that only have a toggle switch.

find a pyro gauge and do a temp hookup, run the wires over/around the hood and passenger door where you can see the gauge. unhook everything and try it. if you can get a handheld laser temp gun, run the truck and get the egt up pull off quick and check the temp at the probe and see what your running. shouldn't be much of a difference in whats reading inside.

no need to. i blocked hose going off to wastegate and wow. hard to hit 1300 egt now and my boost goes up to 30-32 but just doesnt go over that. So id say definitely problems with turbo whether its wastegate or turbo itself.
