I installed an Amsoil NanoFiber Air Filter with a CoolBlue Air Tube using my stock air box without any other modifications..
That`s all you really need. I run a TST box on 3-3 and this works very well.
I have also left my Turbo Ring installed too. Sounds great without being obnoxious.

I moved the right battery to the frame behind the cab and made 2/0 cables that go straight to the starter so I could build a monster of an intake. I built an 8" x 5 3/8" tee - I was a union tinner in my early days. The 8" is the "run" of the tee with 1" flanges to the inside on each end - for the round filter element gaskets to seal against. The "branch" of the tee is 5.375" ID and it's a press fit onto the baffled tq. tube. I reused it cuz I don't like noise. I cut the flanges from 10 gauge flatstock and rest of the tee is 18 gauge and it is all welded, sanded and painted. The 8" run is 5 1/2", flange to flange. Then I used 2 big round paper elements, each nearly as big as the BHAFs with the tee in between them. An allthread rod runs thru the centers of the elements and the tee and sinches it all together. The allthread rod is extended on both ends and rest in brackets I made - the back bracket is by the AC accumulator and the front bracket is behind the right headlight. So I have air filter from the headlight to the AC accumulator except for the tee in between. It looks pretty good - I wish I could post pics. I will build a heat barrier someday to block the engine heat. Craig
