anyone that installed this kit did you just let the upper bracket rest on the brake line tab on frame rail? or did u grind weld away and relocate it? just wondering if bracket will rest flat or not if you leave it rest on tab? (driver side only)

i installed this kit on my 03 and i did grind and relocate the braket. this is what i would recomend doing if you have a welder, the mount sits at an angle to the chassis if the tab is not moved. if you dont have a welder you could cut the bracket off and make a tab to rivit to the chassisand the existing braket, the line bends easily and only needs to support its own wieght, so riviting is acceptable.

 

yes. maybe even zip tying to the upper bracket also.
