I have the same set up... 10psi empty with no noticeable difference empty. When loaded with travel trailer, I give them 50psi to stop the constant loaded feeling.

The one thing I'm definitely NOT doing at this point is putting in air bags. Not only don't I really need them, but they killed the ride in my last truck. Plus it's added expense and added effort I'm not into. They didn't mount well with my 5th wheel hitch either. I had to modify the hitch. I don't want to get into that again.
I LOVE the bump stop idea though. A quick change lowering bump stop...maybe 1" might be the happy middle ground. It wouldn't sit so low, but it wouldn't slap when empty either. Great idea. Thanks!!

Im running 33 12 18 Nitto Mud Grapplers with 2.5" Skyjacker Leveling Springs and mine squats to the back pretty bad with a 8000# Gooseneck. Almost looks like a prerunner.
