Anyone have pics of 285's and leveling kit.

Got a leveling kit for my b-day from the wife. Was thinking about putting a 2" or even 1" block in the rear for a slight lift. Wondering if it's going to look goofy tho with 285 BFD's though. Anyone got some good pictures.

We pull a 5th wheel and I don't want to just put the leveling kit on it by itself. It'll be super low in back when hitched up.

thanks.

If you are worried about being low in the rear with your FW, add some air bags. They work very well and will keep your tow rig level.

id go 295s. the 285s fill the wheel wells out nicely stock. i put th elorenz kit on with 315s and it fills out very nicely. id look into 295s, they are alittle taller than the 285s and will look nicer in my opinion. good luck with the decision.

I'd personally skip the leveling kit w/LT285's.

Mine is stock and looks OK IMO.

Are those wheels powdercoated, or what did you do. I'm looking into something like that. Talked to the powdercoater Thursday, but I don't think I can be without my truck for a week.

Well I already have the 285's....and I already have the leveling kit now. The real question is...do I put 1" or 2" in the back...or just leave it leveled off and suffer when it's loaded. I'm not sinking money and effort into air bags. I had them on my HEMI. There's no need for that with a one ton with what I tow. When it's loaded it's about level. So now it's going to be 2" low in the back. Air bags make the ride worse too.

This Is what I did. Yes it has definitly affected my ride but It only gets driven about 20% of the time WITHOUT our trailer. Timbrens my also be an option. gOOd luck.

My air bags dont effect the ride at all. I keep 10lbs in them when empty and no ill effects. When i tow they make a big diff on the ride quality...............for the better.
