Anyone have opinions of the Quad XZT after some miles?

I spent alot of time searching the board for this so here goes. Has anyone ran the quad XZT box with any success over time? Most of the threads were just first impressions (sp). Only saw one person with any miles ever respond and the rest were still on their first refill. I am looking for milage numbers loaded and unloaded on stock trucks. Also if anyone is still having problems with the connectors.
I am interested in getting a quality box that increases milage and is suitable for towing 10,000lbs. I am not looking for any power increases, just better milage running down the road as my truck is used for long road trips and hauling the trailer. I have a 2500 mile road trip coming up and its the perfect time to ask the old lady for an early christmas present . Thanks for the help guys.

About 7,000 on mine no problems ever, run on 65 setting all time, maybe picked up .5 mpg in combo city highway. 19.5 hand calc. overhead way off it says 21.4. I can feel big difference, Ran it once in 100hp I said once it scared me pretty good how much power it makes and how fast she'll go. I do not tow anything cant help you there... You wont be disappointed.,.

I am also wandering about the XZT box, I want a little better milage and a little extra power would be a plus. From what I have read the XZT and the Edge EZ would be a good choice. I am leaning towards the XZT because of the lower price. Hopefully more viewers will chime in on the long term use.

Thanks slice, I am looking for info on the XZT though. The XZT is the 65HP tow module. When I get around to going for big power I will do that with the 12v. No injectors to worry about.

Used the XZT for 11 tanks (approx 6,000 miles) averaged 17.9 MPG. For the previous 11 tanks without the XZT (also approx 6,000 miles) averaged 17.2 MPG. At this rate the XZT will pay for itself in about 1 year. Have now removed the XZT and will be testing the Rockktek sensor.

I have had the XZT on my truck for about 10k miles and 8 months now. I have had a increase of 3 mpg since I added the box, MBRP replacement muffler and AFE PG7 filter. So far (knock on wood) I have had no problems with the box at all and I am very happy with the extra power it gave my truck. My mileage towing our 5th wheel went up 2 mpg after the mods I did to the truck. I feel like it was well worth what I paid for it.

I ran the quad race box 0-60-100-140 on my 2004 for about 6-8 months. The quad box was fine for about 2-3 months and then started throwing codes.I had two codes (P0192 & P0237) that would happen every few weeks or so,maybe it was just my truck.I have since switched to the bullydog power pup with outlook monitor,so far so good no codes, and smooth power!! coobie

Have the XZT for maybe 5000miles now. Never a problem, good power. As far as mileage goes, I know it's up some, but gave up on keeping track of it. Have it all written down, but haven't calculated it in awhile. I know it's off, but at 60mph w/ cruise, overhead reads between 24.5-25gph. It's more like 21gph in reality which is fine by me.

COOBIE did you have problems out of all the settings or just the 140HP setting? This is the first time I have heard of problems after a time. All the problems I have seen so far have been during install.

Robert,

I sold a BUNCH of the XZT boxes and have only had 2 returned. I wish I could say that about the EDGE and Bully Dog products, but I can't. I don't use one as I drive a 12 valve so I can only go by what comes back to me because of product failure.

2 is a VERY small percentage over the number that are still in use, that says volumes to me on the quality of the product. I hope this info helps as I can't give any real world use on one, I can only report on the sales and return of that product.

I left my quad race box in the 60 Hp position 90 percent of the time.I also had the two codes one time in the 100 hp position.I really liked the quad box but could not keep from getting the codes every couple of weeks.Maybe it was just my truck.coobie

I have the Race version and so far no trouble codes or any problems at all (time will tell), pretty good product for the price.
