Anyone Else Have Pictures of Westach Combo Gauge At Night??

I've seen MikeyB's night time picture, but I was wondering if anyone else with the Westach combo gauge had night time pictures they could share or opinions on the lighting.

Right now, even though I'm not real pleased with appearance of this gauge at night, I'm leaning towards getting it because I can't find a better option to go with the SRT-10 pillar.

Opinions are appreciated.....pictures will get you $10 (+/- 10).

Thanks.

Dang Hoss. You're going to make go out there and try again! This time I will try it from the back seat.

You don't have to go and do that. I'm just trying to get a feel for what this thing looks like at night. The picture you have in your gallery now seems a bit bright for my tastes.

What I REALLY like is the DiPricol gauge below, but they don't make a combo EGT/boost and I can't find a dual gauge pod that I like.

The brightness is adjustable. I just didn't know it at the time of the install. If I ever take it apart I will back the bulb away from the face plate a little.

Is it backlit so the light shines THROUGH the face (like above) or is it lit from the front?

you need to get someone to take a pic with their camera flash off, the guage face will show up white with the flash on and black (with lit up numbers) with the flash off at night

The light actually shines from the left side of the gauge, leaving the right side of the gauge just slightly darker. I don't find it too bright. I originally had mine hooked to the dimmer, but took it off because I like to run with the dash lights as low as possible, which left the gauge too dark. Now its on full 12v, but still not objectionally bright. I would do it over again. John

That's what I was afraid of. I think I'll stick with the DiPricol gauges and just figure out how I want to mount them. Thanks for the help.

I would do that if the console mount was a dual gauge kit. Then again, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to add a fuel pressure gauge to the mix. I also wondered about how complicated of an install that would be. I don't have a clue how to get back behind the console where those gauges would mount.

Getting behind the console is easy Hoss. Pulled mine off to tap cigarrette lighter power. Remove the screw above the garbage bag hook, open glove box, then start pulling around the edges of the console. It will pop right off. Amazing how things are put together these days. Reminds me of the snap together model car kits. John.
