Anyone Dyno Smarty Beta 4.3?

I was taking my boat back to storage (about 45miles away) today, and for Shings and Giggles, I changed from #9 to # 4 on the Beta 4.3. To my amazment, the truck felt so much stronger. After unhooking my boat, I was getting on the highway, and I punched it.... I couldn't believe how much stronger it felt that # 9.... has oneone else notice more power on the lower settings...?

Probably not draining fp to 0 as fast with the lower levels of 4.3....the power levels are all very close, the only diff between 1 and 9 is the fueling agressiveness....i actually drive on level 7 (vs. 9) for that very reason....but havent ever tried the odd settings (like the timing)...

x2!!!

There are those that have drained the rail on sw5!

Seriously though, the sw's are all close to the same power output.

I've got a Stage II CP3, and a GDP so I don't think I'm draining the rail at all....

I have 4.3 beta & on my truck #5 is the most linear power and best overall (on odd timing tunes 1,3,5,7,9)

in fact 4.3 beta #5 kicks a** over the 4.4 beta #9 tune on my truck but #5 4.3 beta also smokes a lot more then the 4.4 beta #9

#7 4.3 beta more narrow power hits harder, not really more power but it hits harder higher up in rpm then #5

#9 same as #7 but even more narrow and hits even harder #7 and even higher up in rpm then #7

#5 4.3 beta has the best usable power curve out of the timing tunes on my truck

I will be testing the even smarty 2,4,6,8 no timing tunes using TST for the timing and see how that compares to the smarty timing tunes.

Ooops, didnt read your sig, suppose you're not draining the rail.....not sure then...think it just feels more powerful becasue there's not so much bottom end and then it comes live later in the curve? vs. on level 9 when the fuel hits early and there's not sudden ramp of power??? Just guessing...

Not sure how anyone could tell a difference between #5 and #7 or #7 and #9 on the beta versions. We're talking very minute differences in overall power and fueling. I know I sure can't feel a 10hp difference on a 450-550hp truck. A dyno (or maybe the track) is the only way to tell.

For me it's not really a power difference, but a power curve difference....mostly throttle response / agressiveness.

I hear you on the throttle response thing. That I can tell.

When it comes to WOT though, it hits so fast and hard with either program I can't tell where the power really starts. I might be able to tell a difference when towing, but at WOT I'm just trying to hold on and watch the road.

I'm curious about the difference between the 4.2 and 4.3 Right now I'm running the 4.2 and I can't read my rail pressure right now(sent in to get fixed) so is there any difference on the dyno between the two. I like the 4.2 but have not had a lot of time with the 4.3 , which do you think is stronger on top?
