Anybody upgraded their quad box?
I have a Quad std box that is one of the first ones to come out. It does not use the TPS tap wire. I am sending it in tomorrow to get it reflashed to the new version that also does not used the TPS tap wire and also upgraded to the race version. Has anybody done this? Did boost increase and did smoke increase?

texaspower19,
There is a new revamped quad race box that does not plug into the data port.Instead it plugs into the TPS sensor on the throttle pedal.
Data port was giving off too many bad signals and the computer would pick up on them.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but from what I understand from Quad there is a third edition that does not use either one. If you have the version that uses the data link (the 1st edition) or the TPS (the second edition) you can send it in and have it reflashed with the newer version which is what mine is gettin when I upgrade from the std. to the race.

Basically we are to the point where the module can work with the Data link connector or with the TPS connector. You can also run it without either, but at light throttle it is not as "touchy".
We had some issues readong data correctly so we went to the TPS. This was the easiest, best, fastest way to solve a few of the issues with some of the 600 trucks. It worked and it works really well. The only thing we did not like was tapping the TPS wire because it is a little bit of a pain. So we kept working to make it work without the TPS. Well we have some solutions.
The latest flash will recognize the TPS signal, no TPS signal, or the Data link signal and will work accordingly. Since we have 2 versions of harness out there we had to make it work with either one to avoid a catastrophe.
In the end the run about the same, we just needed a solution that would fit anyones needs for a re-flash.
