wow-i hadnt price checked yet....sounds like were both looking for the same thing- The ssr's do appear a little less aggresive than the regular swampers, and are siped , which should help in rain, snow, etc.

I started a thread almost exactly like this one about a week ago. Good feedback, but no one with experience on this exact tire. Well, I finally broke down today and went down to the Discount Tire shop in Baytown and ordered six 35 x 10.5 x 17's to replace the one month old stock wheels. The SSR is THE ONLY tire I could find that met all my wants - 1)narrow enough to use with stock wheels, 2) 35" diameter 3)require no spacers (hopefully), 4)M/T tread pattern and 5)maintain an E load rating.
Paid $285 a piece, plus normal charges, but got a $65 credit per tire for the stock ones coming off. That helped out a lot. They'll be in next week, but I'll be out of town on business. Looks like they'll go on week after next. I'll be sure to post pics. BTW, I just a had some Cage Offroad 2" billet aluminum spring spacers installed to level the ride a bit and make a little more room for the 35's. Real happy with how it turned out and they look trick.
