Question Anybody heard of Luke Clutches?

A friend of mine is running a tst on a stock clutch and it is really starting to slip badly....So much he has to turn the chip off now to keep it from slipping...His truck is a 04.5 600 6spd DRW.....Anyway he called West Texas Diesel and they told him that he should try a luke clutch since they were very good and also held up as good as a south bend.....Has anybody heard of these?????

LUK is the way it's spelled, they make oem clutches and some slightly better ones, but have nowhere near the reputation or holding capability of the SB clutches.

LUK Clutch

We have used many of the LUK clutches and they have performed well. For the 04.5 LUK offers a 05-117 which is a ceramic clutch that should do a good job of holding the extra power.

Luk also makes the dual mass flywheel/clutch setup.

The ceramic clutch is pretty grabby, but I've heard the same thing about the SB.

The one I drove slipped at launch (especially bad in reverse), but once it was locked on it was fine. Probably just needed a different set of springs in the clutch disc.

You are right the ceramics are a bit grabby especially when new. They do seem to break-in some over use and certianly are a big improvement in holding power over the stock one.
