I start in 2nd gear build 25 to 30lbs boost(depending on track)lockup on as soon as you move. For pulls in the 230ft and shorter leave it in 2nd.For longer pulls hit 3rd as quick as possible. When the weight comes on switch back to 2nd(good for extra 5 to 10 foot). This is really hard on 2nd gear band and strut if you wait to long but when you get it right you'll be amazed!!

To each his own, but... I probably know Wvtruckpuller but cant figure him out who he is...but I know I have never had one good pull switching back down a gear. He says youll be amazed if you get it right...that will be far and few between. Of course this is only my opinion.

From what I understand there were some 03's that were very bad about TQ management. Noone has ever given a good reason why my truck does it so bad. One guy tells me mine was an early build date on the 48RE. He feels that my program was written to guard grenading a 47RE. Of course there never was a 47RE with a 305 motor. But he thinks some programs hit the market that at some point had the possibility to be matched to a 47RE. I dont know if its true...but anything is possible. 04.5's and up arent as bad, I hear. So you probably have nothing to worry about.

Im in the eastern panhandle Mr Marino and have pulled 40+ pulls last year.Trust me it works very well on along track. You need to try a tst with your predator.Predator all the way up tst on 4-4,5-4 area worked well for me.Make sure you put a piece of tape on your pyro or you'll have a heart attack

Man I thought you had another name on here. I talked to your cousin awhile back (hump?) I know who you are now. I thought of only one guy I knew that said he was leaving in second and hitting lockup as soon as he left - and that was you. I tried it and it didnt work for me - kept coming under turbo...what i found best for me was1st- 18-20 pounds shift 2nd then lockup. As far as downshifting at the end I could never get that one to work either. i was trying that 2 years ago and never had any luck. To all reading here - wv truckpuller knows his stuff . I know he was whipping up on some stout trucks last year. Come down this way this year.
