Another night at the track... (smarty help needed)
and i still cant seem to chase down what is causing me to not be able to build more than 10PSI at the line. I noticed tonight it only did it when i loaded SW#9. no matter what setting i had the rest of the TNT on, it only did it when SW#9 was loaded.
It just seems like when i try to build boost, i hit a rev limiter right at 10PSI....i really want to find out what is causing this! i even went down the track once on stock SW.
***?!?
i got beat by a FERD by a lot cuz of it, my first loss in months at the local track.
Bob, you have any idea whats going on?
On the better note, i met Jorge Alfonso from II. cool guy and he gave me some tips while i was there.

Mine was doing the same thing when I first tried the TNT/Revo programs. It sounded like it was bouncing off the rev limiter and wouldn't get over 8-10psi at the line. Have you tried turning the "shift limiter" option "off"? That made a huge difference for me and it allowed the truck to build all the boost I wanted at the line.
Did you meet the Jorge from Miami with the big white Mega that runs 10's? I knew he was sponsored by II, but I didn't know he actually worked for them? His Mega is sick!

thanks fellas! I hadn't messed with the shift limiter, wasn't sure what it did, I'll give it a shot. But why wouldn't it do the same for other SW#'s
Well if he doesn't work for them he fooled me. He told me he was designing their turbos and walking around with an II shirt. He's on the II home page, but I guess that doesn't mean anything

Personally, I was impressed with the HP he made but, without the huge amounts of spray, his truck wasn't much better than most that are in the 600 to 800 hp range.

Shift defuel:
# 0 - Stock (On)
# 1 - Off
Often called erroneously “ torque management”, this function disables the stock software engine power de rate during
automatic transmission shifts or boosted launch. Please note that the shift light indicator on the dash will also become disabled.

I am no tranny guy...but this sounds like pure electronics to me. Before I turned the defuel off I could not build over 10#. As well the wild tm seems to help. If the trans was going.....well lets ask this. Is your fluid burnt, discolored or smell?? Do you have rmp ramping without increasing speeds?? What are your 60' times. I do not care about e.t. or r.t. What is the 60'. If you are turning a decent 60 your 1st and even 2nd are fine. I am launching at 20# and seeing 1.68-1.75 60' times.

Yup, Shift Limiter. Others call it Torque Management. Turn it off and you and you can build as much boost are you want. If it was active in my truck, i could turn it on kill and it would defuel at 12 psi.
