Another Guage Question
A friend on mine has a 2000 powerstroke. He purchased it last summer as has added about 200,000 miles to it since it is his source of income.
He has a K&N filter and a hypertech program that is set on 100 or 120, what ever the highest is. He does not have any guages or any other modifications.
Last week he towed 11K from Florida to Boston and today he left for the west coast.
My questions.
What is the stock exhaust temperture max?
What is melt down?
We are both new to the world of diesels so after reading some of these threads I wonder how he has not yet melted his pistons.
