Another BOOST issue!?

Well, first I would like to thank the guys that helped me with getting my Smarty up to date. Thanks again. Now for the boost issue. Looking at my sig, why is it I absolutly can't get over 35psi or boost? Smarty on #3. Smarty S-06A Ver. 4.11B, Data: 2.11B Mild torque management increase downloaded. My boost bounce is now gone, but how are you guys saying you can hit 38psi of boost with a STOCK truck? I have read a 100 post with people saying they can...... It doestnt matter if I am empty at WOT, or towing up a 6% grade, I can not get over 35. Whats up??? My EGT's are great though. Never seed over 1300 period! Maybe if I was at WOT towing, but empty, not even close. Thats great but boost; I don't understand. Thanks guys.

4.11 isnt a boost hound (compared to beta's / older smarty sw / Revo)...that others may have been running....that and your on level 3...woould still think you would hit high 30's...but dont have that much experience with 4.11...

Neither my 05 or 06 could hit 38psi stock....max was low 30's....so in my experience, anyone saying they can hit 38psi stock if full of......

Ya, that is what I kind of figured. There are two threads out right now that people are claiming to get 40psi stock. That just seems a little high.

Open a poll post to get everyone's boost on a stock truck...and watch the fireworks! These are probably the same people getting 25-30mpg towing 90k lbs.... Now that i think about it...our trucks are awesome!

I only see 32-34 psi with 4.4 and stock turbo. Can't wait to see what I get with the new sps 62/14 next week.

I can see 38 at WOT with the Juice on level 5 without it I see 30-32 max. I have a set of pillar guages to cross reference the digital.

It's a fueling thing. The Smarty dosen't have to run as much to get the HP out that other prgrammers or boxes do. Basically, more fuel, more boost. A Quad X2 on level 3 or 4 will get you around 38 psi of boost. If you want more boost then beware, going to a higher setting may leave tranny parts on the road if you get crazy with it. With my aftermarket turbo I get 38 psi of boost on level 7 and 43 psi on level 9. Now if I crank up the quad X2 with pressure only I can get around 45 PSI. Truck is flat out quick running level 9 and X2 on 2 pressure only. Haven't went any higher. No need or desire to.

Ya, stock I could get around 32, now with the new Smarty upgrade, I max at 38psi. I figured the guys saying they got over 40psi stock were the same guys with the SUPER trucks getting 30mpg towing. lol. Thanks guys.

They aren't lying. They just pump in more fuel either with duration or pressure.

Ya Spooler. I understand all that, it was all the talk of the STOCK trucks that were getting over 40. I posted this to kind of call them out. Sorry guys. He He. I have been watching and it just seemed that no one ever question it, so I thought I would.

No, these trucks that I am talking about are STOCK and I mean STOCK. No mods what so ever. Also spooler, kind of off subject, but how do you like your bilsteins?

Had to get the Bilsteins after the Timbren install. Truck road extremely bouncy loaded. Installed the Bilsteins and all is well. Trucks rides like a Cadillac loaded.

Do you have the Timbren Front and Rear or Just the Rear? Curiouse if a guy really needs the front kit with heavy loads? Spring shop here in town says you wont believe the difference if you have the front kit as well. I am debating whether to go with Timbren or Firestone Air bags. Thanks
