which amsoil diff fluid to use
What would be the best to put in the diffs? The severe gear 75w-110 or the 75w-90? All I ever pull is my bassboat and want the best for mileage. Also how much do I need to order for both diffs? Thanks

I would suggest REDLINE over amsoil.
I have used a lot of Redline throughout the years, loved it and had much success with it. Haven't used amsoil in anything but a motor, but will NEVER buy anything from the company again!!!

7qrts should do the job, a little less then for the front and a little less then for the rear, if I remember correctly

You guys are experiencing flaking/peeling of your diff already with 04 & 05 trucks?
My 03 looks great and it should be looking like crap due to all the salt/sand up here in the winter months. You all must tow heavy loads in hot weather then huh?

I'm running the AMSOIL 75w-110 in both front and rear diffs, they say that its best for fuel economy and extreme duty. At the time that I change fluid I also put on Mag-Hytec covers front and rear, and it took all but a 1/4 of a quart out of a case. 11.75 quarts total.
I am running Amsoil in tranny and transfer case and have good luck, since I have change to amsoil I noticed that my tranny temps run cooler on average!
I personally recommend Amsoil, I have used it for years in my race sleds and I have never had a motor failure. Before we ran Amsoil we constantly had exhaust valve problems (sticking) and lost a crank to bearing seizure.
