Alternatives to the PIAA 510's
Are there any alternatives to these lights that still mount like they do. I already spent enough money on the Road Armor bumper and then when I was looking online at these lights and realized that 2 sets were going to cost me $300+ I said screw that, time to find an alternative or if none exist rig something up.

It's not that I didn't mind spending the money on the bumper. I just think $300 for 4 small lights is ridiculous. I've got 6 spot lights on my Jeep and didn't pay half that much. I didn't buy the actual Road Armor, I bought the JD Distributing one and he sold it to me for $1095. I just wondered if anyone used something different. I'll find something else but didn't through doing a search.
The lights mount with the bolt on the bottom of the light towards the back. At least that's what I'm thinking based on how the bracket in the bumper is.

Well, with having PIAAs in my bumper, I will tell you, I have had some serious problem with cold weather and the heat of the lamp on the amber lenses. On the Fog Light 510's I have cracked the glass on two lights. I finally gave up on turning them on when it is very cold. The crystal glass on the white lights seem to hold up a lot better, but then again the lamp itself is cooler.
They mount on a single bolt. There is one hole on the top side of the mounting hole for you to mount the light. I would be interested in learning of a new light that will fit as well.

So the mount is a standard 1/2" bolt (or whatever size it is) that mounts to a tab? If that's the case just about anything will work. My Hella FF1000s were only $90 per pair and work very well. They are also a bit larger than the PIAAs.

Oh, you guys are talking about the lights that mount inside the holes in the bumper itself. I think those bumpers are pretty much made specifically to fit those lights.

Yes they do built them specifically with the PIAA 510 in mind but I can't believe that nobody else makes a 4" round light. I'm home sick today so I'll be surfing the net trying to find something. I'll post up what I do.
