My truck just started acting up at first startup,When I first start truck the alt. hand does not come up and the lights brighten and dim for a few seconds then hand comes up and lights brighten and its fine until I shut it off ,then same thing on next start up.Truck is 04.5 ctd

Thanks I was worried something was wrong,I have only had the truck about 3 months now so did not relies this happens ,thought the alt. was going.

 

Yea that is normal……welcome to the CTD world…..just like the shutdown shake, the lights dimming after a clod startup is normal when the grid heaters cycle. Oh yea! You might have a grin on your face when you drive that truck too!!
