The TST box. Is there anyhting better? LOL No way IMO.
Of course I am playing with rail presure too using my own box.
Most of the bigger honed and even the stockers are not the way to go to make the 600 mark. Just like we cant make 600 using the stockers in the older engines...we are running into the same thing with the current stockers of the later engines.
We have the injectors optimized now where there is no net loss with the older and hot version of the TST on the upper levels. 9/9 will crank! Add the right pressure and thing will really walk and talk. I mean a 12.83 @106 MPH is nothing to sneeze at. This is with a 04.5 truck. They are next to impossoble to make power with.

Don't make your CP3 pump alot of fuel when you don't have boost, this empties the rail even sooner.
There's no Hot Rod CP3 available yet, but Piers is working on one.
There is no need for bigger injectors on an '03 yet, since the TST box can open the injectors long enough to drain the rail. Bigger injectors only make that problem worse.
Untill a HRCP3 comes out, bigger injectors are only a step backwards.

Using a larger than life EDM I cant drain the rail with the TST and pressure. Hmmm.
It all depends on how far you want to go....if a 1000 HP is your goal, your not going to get there with a stock pump.
I think most guys will be ill served with a big pump or rail. Looking back at the Hot Rod VP should be a great clue as to what you may get with a hot rod CP3. Zippo, goose egg, etc.

Maybe this new HOT ROD CP3 will work like the HOT ROD VP pump. Adding nothing.

I have never offered a honed injector for a 3rd gen if the guy has a duration extension box. The TST, Bully and the VA guys are asked to wait.
I have many sets of honed injectors on trucks with pressure only. They drive great and tow great. Not a single set of my honed injectors are in trucks with a TST.
The quote of mine you put up above is for the guys who EDM the stock nozzle. Not honing. You took it out of context.
One more time:
Honed injectors typically ( I dont know if they all do or not ) show a power loss with the TST.
EDM punching a stock injector is asking for trouble both in terms of breakage and they flat out dont work.

DTR and then start out by giving Don M a hard time about his injectors! Sorry,....but I
will have to agree with "v8440" on what he said about you joining!
What I find ironic is if you are the Kurt Yardley I know, I recall you bringing a product
out a few years ago; specifically,.....the "B-1 Turbo" right??? Just so all the other
DTR members will know the facts, my son and I were foolish enough to each buy
one of these turbos from you, one regular housing B-1 and the KS B-1. Well, on
my 96' Dodge CTD 12 valve, that RH B-1 had the worst lag of ANY turbo I EVER
owned! Your answer to that was to "change over to the KS-B-1." So,.....I did.
Well that one had a terrible "skipping" or "stalling" problem when towing and I
eventually went back to my Piers HX-40/16 which you said "in no way compares
to your B-1's!" You know what?? I am still running that HX-40/16 with no
problems whatsoever! FWIW, if you keep those HX-40's around 35-45lbs.
of boost, they will give you very good service! You also told me I would see
about forty to fifty (40-50) extra horespower from the B-1's. On a Mustang
Dyno I saw only thirty five! The HX-40/16 gave twenty seven (27) H.P. over
my HX-35/12, so on my truck I saw only eight (8) more H.P. from the B-1 vs
the HX-40, a far cry from the 40-50 you told me! Granted,.......the newer B-1's
have been improved, but your early releases needed ALOT more R&D! As far
as the "secrecy" issue, you wouldn't even tell me what kind of turbo the early
B-1 was Kurt, so noone needs to go there with Don being "guarded" about
his EDM injectors.
So,..........before you come on here and begin attacking Don M maybe you should
look in the mirror. I don't always agree with Don about everything, but I give
him credit on his EDM Injectors as I have seen their dyno results on many of my
friends trucks across the U.S. at the various rallies and events and they work well!!
Some of these members include but are not limited to: Tim Barber (Timinva), Chris
Dubie (PapaSmurf) and Bobby Downes. You said in one of your posts above; "I
try to to find hard data instead of just buying parts." Really???? Did you do
that on the early B-1's??? In my case the numbers you gave me personally
just never added up!
I feel bad for you doing all this typing for nothing!

Well Steve, you are right, I assumed that "kwikspool" was Kurt Yardley
and I was wrong. FWIW, he identified himself as "kwikspool" on the TDR site
and a few others. So,....my apologies to you and the site members for that!
I received a P.M. from your friend Justin Williams (Pourin Diesel) who identified
who you were and stated that "you are a good guy!" Both my son and I think
alot of Justin, so that is good enough for me. I do stand by what I said reference
to someone joining the site and then going after someone like Don though.
And, everything I typed with reference to Kurt Yardley is true! It was unfortunate
but accurate. There are other members here that can back up what I say.
Anyway, have a good holiday and again, my apologies!

Richard, I have not experienced the pop yet. I have heard others talk about it though. I went up to a 125 HP honed injector and did not get the pop. I have seen others get a pop with a 80HP honed injector and the TST. I dont know if it is box, injector, or some other trouble. I suspect it is a fuel delivery problem, but I cant say with certainty.
