What exactly is stepping out of the normal boundry's? Telling someone that if they are using EDM's then they must be getting them from some hack? This is coming from a dealer?
Unlike yourself.....the injector vendor you chose to use did not do any testing or data gathering. If they had...they would have figured out you cant EDM a stock injector and get a HP gain. You should get after them, not me.

We have had custom EDM nozzles for the Common Rail since April. I have not rushed anything, made over 5 design changes that caused me to scrap all the previous designs and major delays in getttng them to market. In the meantime we watched everyone actually selling EDM nozzles causing their customers to loose money and HP. Customers much like you.

I am now finalizing the entire line of EDM nozzles and none of them are stock nozzles that have been hacked on. Look at the dyno sheets I have provided earlier in the thread. Ask your vendor if he has one like that. LOL They are not modified or bogus. Actual runs from a 3rd gen.

Don,
Are selling a new injector? Or do you require the cores?

Thanks,
Dan

He was talking about the CP3 or high pressure fuel pump...not the lift pump. Depending on your mods and fuel demands, an auxilary fuel LIFT pump is required so that the CP3 is not starved of fuel. Different issue.

kwikspool:

I am assuming you are Kurt Yardley right???? As I recall, "kwikspool" was your name
on the TDR site also. It is funny to me that "someone e-mails you a link", you join the
DTR and then start out by giving Don M a hard time about his injectors! Sorry,....but I
will have to agree with "v8440" on what he said about you joining!

What I find ironic is if you are the Kurt Yardley I know, I recall you bringing a product
out a few years ago; specifically,.....the "B-1 Turbo" right??? Just so all the other
DTR members will know the facts, my son and I were foolish enough to each buy
one of these turbos from you, one regular housing B-1 and the KS B-1. Well, on
my 96' Dodge CTD 12 valve, that RH B-1 had the worst lag of ANY turbo I EVER
owned! Your answer to that was to "change over to the KS-B-1." So,.....I did.
Well that one had a terrible "skipping" or "stalling" problem when towing and I
eventually went back to my Piers HX-40/16 which you said "in no way compares
to your B-1's!" You know what?? I am still running that HX-40/16 with no
problems whatsoever! FWIW, if you keep those HX-40's around 35-45lbs.
of boost, they will give you very good service! You also told me I would see
about forty to fifty (40-50) extra horespower from the B-1's. On a Mustang
Dyno I saw only thirty five! The HX-40/16 gave twenty seven (27) H.P. over
my HX-35/12, so on my truck I saw only eight (8) more H.P. from the B-1 vs
the HX-40, a far cry from the 40-50 you told me! Granted,.......the newer B-1's
have been improved, but your early releases needed ALOT more R&D! As far
as the "secrecy" issue, you wouldn't even tell me what kind of turbo the early
B-1 was Kurt, so noone needs to go there with Don being "guarded" about
his EDM injectors.

So,..........before you come on here and begin attacking Don M maybe you should
look in the mirror. I don't always agree with Don about everything, but I give
him credit on his EDM Injectors as I have seen their dyno results on many of my
friends trucks across the U.S. at the various rallies and events and they work well!!
Some of these members include but are not limited to: Tim Barber (Timinva), Chris
Dubie (PapaSmurf) and Bobby Downes. You said in one of your posts above; "I
try to to find hard data instead of just buying parts." Really???? Did you do
that on the early B-1's??? In my case the numbers you gave me personally
just never added up!

I honestly dont hink it is Yardley. He is somewhat out of the game right now.

He never does post or even say bad things about others. Not his style.

John,

Man, thanks for the support. I appreciate it and need it too.

Hey Don,
So what you are saying is that if I removed my DD3's I would actually gain horsepower?
If this is the case am I losing power on the lower settings or just on kill?

I have never tested a DD3 with anything. Dyno testing is the only way to really know. I imagine if the TST is set in the upper levels, the DD3 would cause a net loss. In the lower setting you should have a gain though.

Olee Poole has a customer with a set of twins and stock injectors that just made 574 HP with his 04 last week. He has a TST and EDGE pressure box stack. He made 569 last time he dynoed, so it is consistant anyway.

Most trucks make about 540-560 with twins on a Dynojet and the same setup. What does yours make with the single B-1?

I thought that was pretty good for my setup, considering that what do you estimate it would make with your edms?

I have never tested a single truck with DD3's. I know they work well and I have seen several trucks dyno high with them. Most of my data was pre-TST boxes.

Comparing a set of honed 125 HP injectors and using the TST we gained 40 HP with the EDM style. No other changes. The EDM is more than likely larger than the DD3, but since I have never flow tested one....thats a guess.

Its all a guess at this point. I have some EDM's going out of here soon to a guy with a TST/Edge stack and a B-1. He has plenty of before data using the stock injectors. We will know for certain whats cooking soon with your type combo.

For what it is worth a guy at MM this past year using a HX40 and TST box made 530 with his on a DynoJet...using a CF of 5%. Probably 1-2% is valid.

So, he is right in line with what you make now on full tilt, but he using stock injectors, not DD3's.

Don,
You mentioned in an earlier post about not using the TST box with larger injectors.
What boxes are working to add big power with your proto injectors?
