If I had went with a 8" rim, or maybe a little more backspacing it would have been fine, but I like the tire and wheel combo enough to make it work. I know "redrock" is running the same wheel as me with a 6" superlift and 36" tires and his rubs too, so going to a six wouldn't have solved anything.
my 37's rubbed a hair with a 6" lift but not bad... Only obnoxiously bad when really offroading..

14/15 mpg now. 65% city / 30% highway / 5% off-road. 16/17 mpg before 315's. Worth it though.

Cowboy, is this for the truck in your sig? When I had my '02 I was getting a steady 18mpg hand calculated with 35's. That was with a 4.5" lift, 3.55 gears, auto. and only an Edge EZ.

37s with NO lift like XLR8R!

16.5 over the first 7000 miles of the truck with 90% highway (15% of that towing) and 10% city. I can get close to 20 with low winds, and a steady 70MPH on the cruise, but normally I am at 75 @ 2000 RPMs.

I used the SMARTY to calibrate the speedo.

I get between 13-14 city with alot of go pedal. Highway I get about 16. It doesn't get much better with the foot out of it. Its always consistent though will give it that.

Average 15mpg with 50/50 City/Highway. I was getting a solid 1mpg better before the "Devil Fuel"

I have gotten as high as 18mpg all highway, and I have gotten as low as 10mpg while towing my 7,000lb trailer.

I only did it because everyone said it was impossible.

David, if you could stand to cruise at 60-65mph, you'd break into the 20s easily!

Thanks Shane - that's what I like about the looks too.

I think a big lift/big tires look best when the wheel opening is radiused to match the tires' OD.
