Are all pyrometer probes created equal?
My bullydog pyrometer has slowly been going bad for the last 2 months and now maxes out at 1800 degrees. My buddy gave me a isspro probe and it reads a max of 1400, which is what the bullydog started out reading. Both probes hooked up the same way with the same color wires. The isspro did come with a weird green box that the probe hooks to. Will the isspro probe read correctly on the PMT? I dont want to blow something up because it doesnt read right!
Thanks

"K" type is the type of thremocouple that it is. There are lots of different kinds. We use about 5 different kinds at work. K type is one of the more common and has a wide range temp readings.
If I has the same color wires, chances are that it is the same type. If it isn't the same type it just won't read the correct temp.
