Airdog vs. Raptor and GDP MK-2
Aftering reading a lot of threads about how people are having trouble w/ their Airdog 150 and FP gauge readings and 1/4 issues. Would it be better to go w/ the Raptor 150 and GDP's 2 Micron Fuel/Water Separator Combo instead?

almost all fuel systems have a potential to have 1/4 tank issues..basically any fuel system with a drawstraw runs the risk.
Raptor is probably the only one you can be sure you will have zero problems with...I am working on a high flow canister to sell with my airdog kits so stay tunned all you 05+ trucks.

And if the draw straw is installed correctly, it's not an issue...with a complete AD150 system (following exact install)...i have no problem going down to the "low fuel" light (e.g. 30 miles left).....havent wanted to chance it below that level....it was also a big concern of mine, but as it turned out, not an issue.....
That being said 53....put me on the list for a mod'd canister if you come out with one.....as it's the only way you can get your "normal" reserve capacity like stock (making some assumptions here)...if that's the case, i'd do it as i cant imagine it costing anything outlandish, and it would return to complete stock behavior (e.g. reserve)...

for the 05+ trucks you will still have to use a jeep canister or mod your stock canister by removing the stock intank pump.
one thing to remember is no matter what ALL 05+ TRUCKS WILL NEED TO DROP THEIR TANK OR LIFT THEIR BED FOR THE INSTALL OF ANY FUEL SYSTEM BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE FACTORY INTANK PUMP.
the raptor pump only suck up what the engine needs so you would not need a new draw straw with a raptor100 and jeep canister...I think Christin is running a Raptor 150 and jeep canister on his truck..I dont think he moded it at all either just dropped the two in and go??

I had a FASS 150 with a draw straw. After the install I could never fill up more than 25 gallons...
I'll be watching for this canister deal. I am holding off on any fuel system purchase until a solution to the 1/4 tank issue is found. I like the idea of the Jeep canister, but definitely want the higher flow of a "150" unit...
