Airdog 150 problems

Airdog 150 problems
Had an ad 150 for about 2 years now and I find that this thing is just a full time problem. I am on the third pump because the first 2 burnt up and this one isn't goin to be much better I don't think. They all have this whooshing noise coming from them like they are getting air every 20 seconds or so and they seem to get louder as time goes on and eventually stop pumping all together. I have done the following to try and correct.
Had to pull the stupid fuel tank around 8 times and check all connections.
Replaced all connections 2 times
Used thread lock on the connections after the above didn't make it stop whooshing.
Then after that didn't work I tried pipe tape and that didn't work either.
So now I have the new 3 rd pump on and I have noticed I can pee faster than this one pumps. The last 2 would empty the tank in a couple of minutes and would run like a hose pipe from a house and this one doesn't put out nowhere near the fuel the others did and it's still making this whooshing sound every 20 seconds or so. I have don't the following on this one
Replaced the suction connections and still didn't fix the prob
Cut the suction hose off and stuck it down in the tank to make sure the straw wasn't the issue and no change there either.
I have the ta on the ground and have everything running back into it trouble shooting it but nothing seems to work.
I have noticed the hose going to the pump that I have recirculated back to the tank throws some air bubbles out when it makes this whooshing noise.
What do I do with this stupid thing. I have taken this tank off this truck so much fooling with piece of junk I have almost wore a hole in it sliding it out from under the truck. I hate to call pure flow again because it's 2 days and 10 phone calls before I can get anybody to call me back. I know fas is basically the same setup so is there anybody else I can get a different kind of pump from? What should I do guys? Should this thing just sound like this? Have any of you guys had problems like this?

I don't know what to tell you. I wish you the best of luck. I would talk with Toby at AD. He's been very good with helping me with my problem when I first got my pump.
The only thing I can think of did you change the filters? Did you check the lines for any blockage or colapsed line?

Sorry guys for the disappearing act. I have had continuous problems since I put this thing on. It always had an air sucking noise and over time they would get so loud it was hard to hear the radio and then eventually stop pumping. This time was the last straw. I am sick of rolling my big a around pulling the tank on this truck for the 6th time. I put a new factory lp back in this time so if it stopped working or something happened I could just switch back for starters. Then for the second time I changed all the standard fittings and hoses. It still had the same sucking grinding sound as they all did but I wasn't giving up. The only thing I never changed was the 45 that was sent with the unit on the pump side. I looked it over every time and it looked fine Nor was it out of shape. Still sucking air and wouldn't pick up fuel very fast. The only thing left was that fitting so I cut it off and put a standard fitting on and stuck the hose in the tank. I almost passed out. The pump got quiet and started pumping like it supposed to. I put everything back together and it's the first time since I owned the system that I can actually hear inside the truck and people don't look at me like I am driving a piece of junk when I stop to fuel up. That one fitting has been the fault of 3 pumps and I now realize it has been broke since new. I have looked the fitting over with a magnifying glass and it has no cracks that I can see so I duno. It shocked all of us...I had no idea these things was so quiet. Works great and ad took care of me. And yes I feel stupid but the mechanic said man you just have crappy luck. I told him if you think this is bad let me tell you about my turbo.

I put a 165 on a couple weeks back. Read some past posts before hand and had some concerns about whether or not I was buying a headache, but convinced that I will need more fuel volume in the future in my quest for greater power and performance I bought it. I must say that their instructions are needing some updating, especially so for people with minimal experience. Mine is working fine, pretty quiet I guess. The only problem I had at start up was a leak at the pump. It was from behind the pump gears (geroter) cover plate. I removed it to find that of the three o-rings that should have been there, the largest that seals around the gear set had been left out somewhere along the line. I called them and didn't have much sucess in getting help, tech guy out of office till Oct. 17. Called place pump was purchased from, explained what was wrong, they understood, got up with AD and AD sent me three O-rings, which is the total required behind the coverplate. They sent me three of the smaller size so I still don't have the correct one for my pump. I fortunately had one that would fit to get it running as it is a probably 1 1/2'' OD thin cross section thickness ring that you won't find in a standard O-ring kit. I am pretty disheartened with them, I can overlook that goofup of leaving the seal out but I can't overlook the fact that they are not concerned about fixing THEIR foulup. I wasn't going to say anything about it but its been three weeks or more now, and thats the facts.
