Airaid Jr. or AFE superstock kits? New AFE kit?
Has anyone had good results with these drop-in replacement/torque tube-MIT kits? Are there any MPG or performance benefits to one of these kits? How loud is the turbo with a MIT/Torque Tube and the stock airbox? I have been going back and forth between AFE and Airaid products in my search for a new intake. My truck spends alot of time in salty, sandy air on the Delaware beaches and add a few water crossings when I go to the Outer Banks. I have been hesitant to go with an open element intake because of the frequent beach conditions that my truck encounters. Has anyone used the new AFE kit? It looks similar to the Airaid quick fit system: http://www.afefilters.com/images/54-30811npa.pdf

You know, if aFe can build something like that for the stock airbox, I don't understand why they didn't make it sealed for make a cold air intake? Other than that, I think you'd have to go through some REALLY deep water pretty fast to waterlog that thing. No worse really than the stock box. Water isn't going to come from ABOVE unless you hit some water fast and hard.
