Airaid drop in replacement

Whats the thought on the drop in Airaid?
I ran a K&N on my 01 with no problems.
Allways had a little oil at the turbo inlet .most likly me over oiling.

With the 05 I am not sure with all the new info.
How is the airaid drop in.
Thinking of a few holes in the air box.
Allthough I noticed no change on my 01 when I drilled the box.
And I broke the bottmm of the box

From what I have been reading
It seems nothing flows better than stock paper
And oil is more restrictive

Put my edge on last week (cute toy, love the guages,Truck goes fast)

New truck is nice and quiet Not like my 01 with Summit racing exaust.
No steering wander yet
Truck temp is 197-201 eems kind of warm

I run the drop in and have no issues with 7k on the clock.

Hey snow, I spent 4 years in LV at UNLV, have alot of friends down south.
You ever see a big black 02 F-350 CC Longbed PSD with 11" of lift and the license plate Pilldoc running around?

I saw one at the dealer when I traded my old one in.
No plates, But it had stacks and the badges said< CUMMINS KILLER>
And it had rino linning on parts, like the rockers, and the mirrors , and the bumpers.

He's up on the NW side of LV near Summerlin. License plate says PILLDOC (Pharmecist) I doubt he traded it in at the dealer as he only drives it 6k a year. Anyway keep an eye out, its a cool truck.

Stock height,
Rubs a little when I am at full lock in reverse, not enough to be concerned about. Les Schwab had to trim a little on the front air dam, it was about 1/2"
See my posts about getting the speedo recalibrated, as the shift points were way off with 35"s.
