Air intake

I saw your question on the air filter, I wanted an AFE but I think they are overpriced so I may go with the Volant. What I really want to know is how do you like the Kore suspension? What did you have to pay for it and where? Do you think it was worth it?

I think the Scotty's are no longer in production. I did my own intake. When towing EGT's are down 100deg. with stock filter. Total cost was $8.

Intakes

filtration and keeping my EGTs at a safe level are my goals...oh yea I want to hear my turbo spool like the intake was in the cab ...looks like the AFE stage II with proguard 7 with a outerwear...these are expensive, but if you shop around you can find the whole shabang including the cleaning kit for aprrox $425 shipped,

anyone find one for less let me know please

I agree, save your money and build one. It's cheap to make.

Intake

I too built my own. $6 for a dryer vent hose, cut a 4 inch hole in the middle of the stock air box and connected and extended the hose pointing towards the front of the wheel well. Couple screws to hold it in place.

Not much noticable increase in gas milage but the turbo sings and better low end power.

Just bolted in the Volant on my 05 about an hour ago. Its quiter than the AEM that I had on the 02 and I like it so far. Silencer ring still in though. Dont know if Ill remove it yas of yet, kinda like the quit for now but that may not last long.
