I had the K&N FIPK. Now I have a K&N intake tube with an AFE PG 7 filter and prefilter on it. I noticed the K&N wasn't getting dirty and it was because the dirt was doin through it. I was gettin dirt in my intake tube. There is no dirt in the tube now with the AFE.

I know there are several different types of air filters out there, I run AFE and am very satisfied with it. A couple of friends have AirRaid, K&N, AEM, and homemade. All these filters do the same thing, filter out the air. But what it comes down to is preference and cost. Do your homework and find the air filter that will suit your needs.

It seems the AFE is the cream-of-the-crop, but don't pass by the Scotty V, the Quadzilla, and the Volant. I am looking into the Volant setup because it is sealed from the engine bay air, and is a little cheaper. I may then get a AEM DryFlo filter for it, because oiled filters are just a PITA.

Amsoil has some new air filters that sound good. Just put one on, but won't be going on a trip to try it out for another week or two.
