Aftermarket Speakers

Allright, I am finally going to spend some money on some speakers. I need to know what yall think sounds the best. Also what size do you recommend. I.E. 6x9 or go with 6 1/2 with a tweeter. Ive had MTX speakers in the past and they were awesome. But I dont know what to get now.

I have 6x9s in the front and tweeters in the dash, along with 5 1/4s in the rear. They are the pioneer D series. The only reason I didnt go 6.5s in the back was the owner of the shop that did the work said he couldnt hear a diff in the 2. I have a JL 300/4 powering everything and the sound quality is great.

What ever speakers you choose, make sure to get a good amp to power them. Sometimes that will make a bigger differance then what speakers you are runnin.

I use these in my truck and they have been great. I have to have quality speakers to keep up with my L5 15" Kicker. I would recommend Memphis Audio to anyone, mine don't distort at all, even cranked all the way up. I also run a pair of tweeters in my top corners of the windshield, keeps the music level higher up, I don't like my music playing at my legs so much.

When it comes to subwoofers, I tend to lean towards Kicker, JL, or Audiobahn. Memphis subs are great, but they are almost strictly competition, the MOJO subs will blow windows.

I have a kicker 200x2, that I used in my three previous systems. I will be getting a box for my subs too. I have 2 10" kicker comp vr's and 2 kicker 400x1 amps (1 per sub). Im just trying to figure out where to put it all. I will have to look at the pioneer's. I have been looking into kicker, alpine and infinty so far.

I have 6x9s but i have heard that if you go with a round 6.5 you will get better sound quality since its round compared to oblong. If you go that way you will probabaly lose some mid bass but that can be easily added back with a sub or 2

I have Alpine 6x9's in the front and rears and love them, they sound real nice and clear that are hooked up to a 750x2 amp, also bass is not a problem real nice behind the seats of the megacab with 1650w and one 12" kicker comp vr and one 12" kenwood forget the model. Its very clean for a 4 speaker setup and the bass is easily controlable and sounds real nice. I think the megacabs were built with sound in mind lol. Any way you go will be much better than stock and is well worth it.

this is what i had installed in conjunction with the stock door speakers. i am very satisfied with the sound. the only thing i didn't like about this box was i lost the under seat storage and platform.

1-kicker zx400.1 amp
2-kicker c12 subs
1-custom box

X4 for the Focals. I have the 6 1/2" components up front/ dash and the 5 1/4" in the rears powered by JL Audio amps. Awesome sound.
