no codes directly related to the valve but the one that keeps popping up is the p0251. I will just wait for the warranty to pay for the part it will cost me $100.00. Now that being said The quad box does get 25-26k pressures. Since the stock setting is 25k. quads box raises the pressure so it would have to be higher than 25k. I do believe someone told me that the quad tow box goes to 27k.

Don, what do you think about a copy of my post from another website, any idea what my be going on???
Thanks

I've got a spa gauge that reads uncorrected rail pressure. With the TST on 6/6, ez on 45 hp setting, in od running 70 mph, mashing the throttle down quick without kicking out of od, the rail pressure will drop like a rock to about 11000 from 22000 till the turbo lights and the rpms pick up then the rail pressure will climb to 24 to 25000. Starting from a dead stop, mash the throttle to the floor the pressure hits about 11000 then drops to 7000 for a split second then it'll climb to 24 to 25000 with just a little fluctuation between shifts. I'm pretty sure pop off valve is fine with the ez on 65 hp setting running 80 mph the pressure reads 26700 consistently. Is the temporary pressure drop normal with all the duration the tst uses maybe its draining the rail momentarily??? Or could the afc solenoid be going bad?? I know some guys that have a different type gauge on an 03 and they say there rail pressure climbs as they push the accelerator down and they are running a tst also. Anyone have any ideas??? Has any of y'all changed just the afc solenoid???

spa gauge

Gwoody, I just sent you a PM .Who carries them?Seems to me ,by monitoring the pressure we can keep an eye on the condition of our injectors & cp3, thanks, doug

Doug-

I use the top channel for rail pressure and the bottom channel for drive pressure. Here's some details with pics:

idle: ~5,300 psi
cruise: ~9,000 - 11,000 psi
matted: ~24,000-25,000 psi

Rail pressure goes up and down with throttle position w/ no intermediate dips even when matted. However, the matted rail pressure is not maintained unless the TST is at lower settings. I normally run with the MP8 on 30-40% and TST on timing 1x0 only.

When I did the 503 HP run in my signature with 100 HP injectors, SPS 66, and the J/A on 5x5 the rail pressure dropped to 14,000-15,000 psi after spiking at 24,000-25,000 psi in the 2,000 rpm range (verified the Edge fuel pressure programming on the J/A that's all in and off by ~2,100 rpm). I probably could have squeezed a few more HP since I had some "good" rail pressure left before others have reported losing power on the dyno.
