Aftermarket guage light ?

i taped the power for the lights to the dimmer (even though it says not to) which is a orange/brown wire coming out of the light switch...there are two, i taped the left one...and it works perfectly...lights come on with gauge lights and dim with them.. Jason

looking at the 2006 wiring schematic, you can tap the orange/brown wire off the back of the headlight switch/dimmer switch. pin #2 is what you need to tap. there is also a orange/brown wire on pin #4 back there, but it isn't what you want

Thanks guys, I found it. I dont have a test light, I was using a multimeter and checking each pin of the plug with it unplugged with the key on looking for 12 volts.
