The other day I pulled the whole intake off to clean the filter and to make sure there was no dirt in the intake. I noticed that rubber connection piece that connects the intake tube and filter mount had the rubber deteriorating. The rubber could easily be scraped off with my finger nail. I was wondering if anybody else has had this issue or whether it got some type of chemical on it. I'm already saving to get the replacement parts since i do not want any of this in my turbo.

I had a problem with my rubber connections cracking also. I took pics and emailed them to AFE they sent me new ones at no charge saying they did have some problems with the way some of the rubber connectors were manufactured.

Thanks, I'll be taking photos tonight and sending them off to AFE. It will be nice if they replace them for nothing.

Hmmm never had that issue, but I also fully detail my motor, all the silicone and rubber sees either armorall or wd40.
