Talking AFE ProGuard 7 & Torque Tube $$$

Just got an AFE Intake with the Pro Guard 7 for $236.00 plus shipping and an AFE Torque Tube for $85.00 free shipping off of ebay. I don't know how to link to the sellers but just do a search for "AFE" and they will show up. Can't wait to get them on my truck .

Great Deal !

I got mine in December and had $248 in it including UPS, and I thought that was good deal. Great price on the torque tube, too.

Are you sure that was a 2003+ Pro 7? I couldn't find any current or completed items under AFE that low...Just the typical E-bay retail listers. Do you have a company name, or url you can post?

I did however find the Pro-7 here: http://www.advanceddieselspecialist.com No affilliation etc, bla, bla, bla. $255 is better than the $295's that are currently "typical" retail. But if I can find it for $20 less all the better.

This is the one I bought item# 2471757290. It is from Advanced Diesel Specialist but he has them cheaper on EBay then on his website. His user id is adsperformance and it shows that he has 3 left but it doesn't come up under a search for AFE for some reason. It is for an 03-04 w/Pro Guard 7.

Don't know if this will work but try this link:

RockRoverAA,

The AFE intake with the pro guard 7 on ebay for $236 is actually listed by the same company you mentioned (Advanced Diesel Specialists). On Ebay, go to search, then click the stores tab at the top. Then search for "cummins afe". At the very bottom is this intake for $236. I don't think it shows up under a normal search because the "buy it now" auction doesn't end for another 28 days. I think the normal seach only shows 10 days out.

I purchased two rubber elbows, got a 4" stainless peice 6" long, added two four inch hose clamps to the stock ones. Done, spent under $50.00 CND. The turbo sure whisltes now. Not sure if I want to take out the ring it might be too loud.
What did the vferdict end up on the HP gain with the intake baffle out?
It does seem to have increased the exhaust note. Or maybe I just left my foot in it longer.

Thumbs up

Yes, it has both parts. The folks at City Muffler are packaging them together and calling it Stage II.
That cost was shipping included..

Contacted Jeff at AdvanceDieselSpecialists. Ordered a complete intake and also found out from Jeff that the 2004.5CTD are getting a new specific model. Got the Pro-Guard7 (to be released for the 2004.5 in a week) for $240,. TorqueTube for $68, Pre-Filter for $26 including shipping.

Yup...But Jeff won't have the shippment of tubes until Friday. Still, at $68 it makes it worthwhile rather than building it myself ($48+ shipping)...And it has the 'bling' powdercoat match and mandrel bend.

I wonder what is different about the 04.5 boxes Pro 7's?
