The Stage I is a big filter and a housing, you can add the Torque Tube to it. The Stage II is a bigger housing and filter, the filter has a 6 inch inlet and a mandrel polymer tube that connects the 6 inch filter outlet to the turbo, much more capacity etc. Which ever way you decide get the Pro Guard 7 to keep the dirt out of your engine. Call us if you have any questions etc.

I have read 4wheeldrive magazine that some of the companies such as AEM are switching from a cotton filter to a synthetic filter. Will this cause a drop in airflow.

Possibly a slight minor amount, AFE has been using the 5 layer of progressively smaller weave cotton with a two layer synthetic media to comprise their Pro Guard 7 all along, sounds like the competition is copying their idea etc!
