I don't think there ever was a "problem" per se...

but I have put 85 psi through mine with water/meth and no ill effects... and I bought mine prior to the "exploding" event.

Here are a couple of brands to consider-----

http://www.lazarsmith.com/Intake-Exhaust.html
Mike with LS has excellent customer service and free shipping.

Also Stefan with DTT also has an excellent product out now which I know from personal experience adds low end power and quicker spool up to our trucks. http://www.dieseltrans.com/dodge/Intake.htm

Installed CFM + friday night. I installed mine for economy and to say I have one. Most of the gains from the test reports are from 1850 - 2000 RPM range which is wher I run a lot. As far as noticable power increase, I can't say that I notice any difference.
Per the posted test results it adds 57.7 HP and 159 FTP @ 1900 RPM maybe the dyno is more accurate than than my seat of the pants floor it test.

Cfm+.......

I have ran the banks and the arc flow ats before and didnt notice a big difference honestly. the ats was a nice piece but the banks I thought was pretty junky, the studs that held it down were a joke they looked like some all thread they bought at the hardware store that nuts slid on that. if you are looking for big power the money can be spent somewhere else like injectors, turbo, fuel system etc.

The dtt looks pretty clean and simple. Man the oem is a joke how small it is...

Whatever you decide, stay a mile away from Blabe Runner. It is made in China and the quality is horrible. The casting is very poor with rough spots in the inside where it matters and the outside too. I have the CFM+ and have no issues. I bought it for the "bling" affect of the carbon fiber look...the looks alone add 20MPG.[laugh]

lol i wish looks would add mpg cause some of our truck would be getting wild mpg...but im not even thinkin about blade runner anymore...

i got the cfm+ and have had only 1 problem. When i first installed it and the grid delete and took the test drive, between about 15 and 45 psi, there was a loud squeel like a boost leak, and i had to torque the studs down a little tighter. overall ide say a good product, but i will probably sell it because I need a metal one so i can weld on my new TiAL BOV once i get twins.

Go with the CFM. I had the Banks and Blade and trust me no good.

I have had my CFM since they released them and i can say i am quite pleased with it. When i went for a retorque(after 1 yr) the nuts were still tight. I push close to 50psi out of mine with no problems, nice egts. What I notice is the CFM brings the egts down quicker than the stocker after a hard run and when coming to an idle. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Good im going with the CFM just sounds good to me what are they suppose to be torqued to?
