4040L

The 4040L is a little quieter and yields the same kind of performance as the 4040, so the 4040L seems to be the more popular choice.

I wouldn't. I'm no engineer on muffler design, but I would rather use something to let the exhaust right through. Not something with just as many baffles as the stock exhaust.

As far as the Aeroturbine goes, I haven't heard a comparison of the two, but I think I would be happier with the 4040L. On long trips I find noisy exhaust to become a nuisance quickly.

I just recently had the 4040 installed right behind the cat and find it to be tolerable in the cabin. I have yet to pull with it, but I think with the added breathing ability of the exhaust now that when at cruising speed the sound cannot be that much louder than stock. So far I am very satisfied.

I've had the 4040L for about a month. It is mounted right behind the cat. At my normal highway cruising speeds, I can't even tell it's there (72-75mph). When I am on the go pedal, I think it has a nice deep tone to it.

As far as it sounding like a Beretta... ...PLEASE!!!

Thanks to those who gave a response to my survey. I was looking for a comparison of the two, but I was not able to come up with anything. To those who gave negative replys, give me a better exhaust and why you think this.
