Aero XL 4040XL

Guys,

All I can say is wow! I went from stock, to an aftermarket muffler, to straight pipe and now all i did was add the XL. Holy cow, first impression is no drone. The truck still sounds mean, but not in the cab. It has changed the way i think about exhaust completely!

I'm Debating on doing this muff or a donaldson. I like the tone of The strait pipe But the drone is bruttle and the vibration is bad with the stacks. I just have to figure out what i'm going to do. I do not want it to get to quiet I just want the drone and vibrations gone.

Is it a bolt on? I see it's 4" in and out... I guess you have to have it welded in? Or can you slip it over the stock 4" pipe?

Can I ask what you paid for it? I have a brand new extra one for sale in the classifieds and I want to make a good deal for someone without giving it away. I bought mine for $236.00 but I see they are going for much less now. Thanks, Tom J.

I have one and it sounds excellent, and it will turn peoples head in a nice way. I used clamps, just be sure to install it as far to the rear of your truck as possible if you don't want any drone when under a load or towing..

I have the MBRP replacement muffler on mine and it's way too quiet. How does the Aero compare to the mbrp for sound? I want that bid rig sound and be able to hear it in the cab. I'm also considering Gino's muffler delete but don't want any drone. Kitty's still in place.

Actually, they're designed to work best when mounted directly to the downpipe, and the XL version won't drone as long as you use quality OEM-style rubber isolators.

Paid 173.00 with free shipping, great deal. I love it, lots of compliments on how it sounds. Little to no drone but i need to add a few supports due to the removal of the straight pipe. I feel this is much better than the MBRP due to the note of the exhaust, MBRP was too mellow and quiet.
