I've got the AEM Bruteforce. It whistles loud. Can't tell mpg gains. I insulated the tube between the filter and the turbo. That thing would get so hot, you couldn't touch it.

I guess it's ok. I really have to wait until I do an oil analysis to see if it's filtering as well as they say it does. Performance wise, it's doing fine.

The air filter itself is great. It seems to flow better than my BHAF, Scottie III and S&B Factory oiled filter. I don't really like the rest of the setup. I feel that if the metal tube heats up then the air inside will also heatup. I purchased the S&B system and slightly modified it to accept the Dryflow air filter. I then added the PSM/coldair intake underneath the S&B Box. What a combination.

trik396,

Do a search here and at TDR there were a number of folks that reported lower boost readings due to restriction on the dry flow filters.

I was one of those who reported what I thought were lower readings.
I was wrong, fortunately for me...

It was fairly easy. I used only one bolt (near the motor/battery side)to secure the box and enlarged the hole on the inside of the box. Then I put everyhting together and pivoted the box to point that the dryflow was not compressing. Since I added the cold air intake hose to the bottom of the S&B box the pivoting also allow me a tad bit more room for that.
I have a full set of gauges and kept testing each one of my filters boost/egt. I have an area of highway that I travel daily. I marked the mile post with the egt readings and boost numbers. They are all very close but the dryflow seemed to keep the lowest egt and boost numbers on this slight incline. The numbers are only within 50 degrees
(egt) and a pound of boost or so. Of course headwind and such could easily effect these numbers. It was the dryfilter idea that keeps the dryflow in place now.

Mark,

You might have something there! The filter minder gets close to the red every time I reset it and drive again. This could be because of it's position inline, but I'll watch the boost max tomorrow when I drive my daily 120 mile round trip. Will report back....
Cheers
Mike
