You're not the only one bud! I mean, there are a couple TSBs out there regarding the blue smoke/rough idle problems that some people have with their trucks, but my whole take on things is "If it's not broken, why fix it" and when my truck doesn't have Howe's additive in it, it's not "broken" so for the mean time, I will just hang on to my TSB print outs and hope that the blue smoke/rough idle stays at bay.

Lately I have been using Unimix TCW-3 (ashless) two stoke oil lately (mixed with Lucas injector cleaner every 3 tanks) My engine loves the 12 oz. of two stroke oil, makes her idle nice and quiet and run so smooth.

I've heard the PS and MMO mix was good so I tried it in my truck. Works great. Added about 1 mpg for in town driving. Haven't been on the interstate to check highway mileage differences though.

Been using the PS/MMO mix since I got the truck.
Cant say there has been any noticeable mileage diff but it does idle quieter.
When on the a trip, I use straight PS simply because its easier.

Marvel Mystery Oil.

Twelve ounces to a tank. Four ounces to ten gallons. I drive 600 miles a week on a pretty regular basis. When I add this to my tank, I have more fuel left in the tank at my fill-up.

The 600 miles is to the same destinations.

PS / MMO mix. You can absolutely tell a difference in the way the truck runs when it's not on it. 3 / 1 mixture, 16 oz at each fill up.

I have been using Gen49 by powerup. It is the best stuff I have ever found. We get wicked bad fuel up here, the winter blend is brutal, but with the gen 49 stuff it smooths it right out. I can really tell when I forget to put it in.

I use Stanadyne Jr. for lubrication. One 16oz bottle good for up to four tanks of fuel.

You had a dirty filter, that's for sure. When I checked mine it looked honey brown and had very little particles.
