Actual mileage gains on the new quad box.

285's are more expensive than a set of 315 take-off's and I am not sure the additional milage benefit will ever be paid-off by the difference in cost.
There is a $200 price difference is what I am finding... $800 for 285's vs $600 for 315 take-off's.

schu,
I drove to Big Lake once about 20 yrs ago during April. Break up was a little late but the lake was starting to thaw. There was water from the bank for about a foot. What I couldn't believe is that I saw loaded dump trucks drive down to the water, slowly drive out onto the ice, and then proceed to drive across the lake so they wouldn't have to drive around. This would be impressive in the winter - but looked pretty crazy for the spring

Wouldn't trade my 315's for a gain of 1 mpg. I love the look, but some call me a redneck By the way schu I could send you a picture of FL but it hard to take a picture of 80 degrees.

My first tank with the quad was hand calc'd at 19.8, used to get 18. Set on 60 hp, mixed freeway and in town with quite a bit of fooling around with the 100 hp setting. I have seen an improvement and am still glad I bought it.

Just installed a XZT towing box today and am heading to Alabama with a loaded horse tr. I have made this trip several times with the same load so I should have good mpg #'s by the time I return Sunday night.
