I've never had my truck on a dyno(I'm sure several guys on here have and will tell you) but usually when a program for a diesel says it will give 100 hp or so it means 100 hp at the wheels. It's amazing how easy(and cheap) horsepower is for these trucks. Take it easy on your tranny, too.

the smarty 60 hp program beat another box on the 130 hp stting.

truck was an 04.5 auto built auto

smarty on level 3 with timing did 404 829

other box 5/5 did 389 790

Marco's programs are all under rated

same dyno same day within the hour

Normally I would not post on this but, I feel in some ways it affects all manufacturers.

I think it is pathetic that the Smarty does not meet its advertised numbers. Don't get me wrong you are getting more than you paid for I guess.

I mean anyone can under rate stuff if they want. I think it is important for the consumer to know what they are getting. What are you going to do when a customer puts it in SW2 and melts the truck down at a 60hp advertised gain when pulling a trailer.

I just think in the long run it makes us all look bad. It is easy enough to sit on a dyno and tune them how you want to meet your advertised numbers.

Now I was not at that dyno but it sounds like the other manufacturer was at least close to their advertised gains.

Not a rant but, I think most consumers will agree that if you say 60hp, then let it be 60hp. Let the consumer decide when he wants to add more. It sounds like it is a crap shoot when you download the Smarty right now as to what you are actually getting. I mean if a guy wanted a 60hp gain is it even possible at this point?

Talking

mine on the other box (Edge J/A) setting 5/5 made 448/925 Love to try the Smarty she still (my Truck) spits it out. Smarty must have a bad taste Now the TST DR Performance stack is way stronger on the street then the edge but have not been back on the Dyno for numbers

Slightly off topic maybe but I installed a smarty on an early 04 so truck today, and saw the smile as quick as the acceleration For anybody wondering the hi idle worked on this model.
And for qzilla don't you recomend gauges for towing with increased fueling?

When I went through my first 4 or 5 boxes, I dyno just about every change. In general the ones I tried delivered pretty close to the stated HP.

All these were with air intake, high flow muffler and BFG 315s. Truck dyno'd 280rwhp stock. The boxes were on highest settings.

Dr Performance Stage II rated 85hp dyno'd 375rwhp.
Quad XZillaraider Race rated 130hp dyno'd 385rwhp.
Edge Juice/Attitude rated 100hp dyno'd 370rwhp.

After the TC/Trans, FASS, II SPS66 and stacking these are some numbers.

Edge HOT Juice/Attitude(180hp) & EZ Level 2(45hp) dyno'd 480rwhp.
TST R49 w/late twins(1xx) 6/4 & EZ Level 2(45hp) dyno'd 503rwhp.

I will get some dyno numbers with the new TST box(multiple programs & timing options) when I get it back. Will try to stack with both the BDTD CL and Smarty.

Now that I have the rail pressure gauge I should be able to find the optimum stack levels with out draing the rail.

I went to the Dyno on Wed Here are some of the numbers and sittings with whats in my Sig exept HTTB2 62/12 not Silver Bulett Turbo. No tq # from this dyno

All boxes off 387hp this would be Flux 2 injectors only I did 289 on stock injectors only
TST 1 426
TST 2-3 474
"" 3-3 494
"" 4-3 527
"" 5-3 568

Smarty #6 519
with TST Stack

TST 1 576
"" 2-1 585
"" 3-1 597

Smarty #7 565
with TST Stack

TST 2-1 604
"" 3-1 611

TST is the early version any higher numbers on the TST lost power
so the smarty by its self on #7 netted 178hp on my truck 42lbs boost
and 132hp on #6 stock timing this is all on #2 only
